I create mixed media pieces with small precious components by Mexican craftsmen. This one makes a beautiful gift of love or Valentine! I embellished a satin heart from the Basilica of the Virgen de Soledad in Oaxaca with seed beads and pearls. The heart is surrounded by silk flowers in a tin sacred heart nicho from Mexico which I finished in an antique gold finish. The background paper was also handmade in Mexico. The nicho is 5 1/2” W X 11 7/8” tall X 2 1/4” deep.
