This skillfully machine-embroidered and hand-woven one-of-a-kind poncho is from Chiapas. Views of the front and back are shown here. Gorgeous handmade tassels adorn these spectacular pieces!
27” wide X 25 3/4” long plus 2” fringe. Tassels plus cord are each about 16” long. The warp-faced fabric was woven on a treadle loom. The fabric and embroidery thread appear to be a mixture of cotton and metallics and the tassles and cord are synthetic.
