This huipile has beautiful primarily purple design on a soft grey background. The grey has faded somewhat but the design colors have not faded. There is an interesting variation in texture created by using a rayon threads for the purple and cotton threads for the other colors. I have seen this done in other Nahuala huipiles. The bottom is gathered by the tight weaving of the patterened area and this is also seen in other huipiles from this town. There is some wear on the pattern thread. Condition is fair to good. Seams are coming apart somewhat. Smaller huipile, probably for an older child. 25”W X 24”L.
