Mexican artist Oscar Hernandez Miranda studied with folk art master Saulo Moreno for years and still has close contact with him. He painstakingly solders together short lengths of steel wire to create animals and figures. He fills in spaces between the wires with solder and then carefully enamels the figures. Because his figures take a long time to create, he is not able to produce large numbers of them. This dragon is an example of how beautifully simple his figures can be. This unicorn has wonderful movement.
